This high production dual-sleeper tamping machine is equipped with two 16-tool, non-synchronous tamping heads mounted on a self-propelled satellite frame.

The 09-2X is standard equipped with fully automatic, computer controlled (AGGS) lifting, leveling and lining systems.

The 09-2X is equipped with:

• fully automatic, computer controlled lifting, levelling and lining systems.
• tamping cycle: automatic, semi-automatic or manually controlled.
• failsafe on-tread brake shoe system.
• Two, 2-axle bogies for safe, high speed travel.
• Suitable illumination for night work, horn.

Self-propelled travel speed is 80 km/h or in an "MDZ" type consist along with a Plasser Dynamic Track Stabiliser and a Plasser High Performance Ballast Regulator.
