The EM80H electronic track recording car supplies real time data. The vehicle is equipped with a non-contacting track geometry measuring system. This consists of the inertial measuring system, two optical track gauge measuring systems and the navigation unit.
The combination of inertial and navigational measurement supplies accurate measurements with automatic localisation of the data both at high speed and at low speed. This vehicle is designed to measure the track under load at up to 100 km/h – this is limited by the dimension of the drive unit. The measurements are evaluated in real time.
